Tuesdays

Tuesdays are my days off with Miles. I am so blessed to have this day with him. As much as I THINK he likes hanging out with me, it is truly good for my soul to hang with him. I learn more about him everyday. I feel more connected with him. I just love spending time with him. Don't get me wrong, there are meltdowns along the way as we have come upon the terrible twos. As Ben likes to say "throw up the deuces!!!" It's been a good winter for the three of us to hang out on Tuesdays and it won't be the same when Ben goes back to work. This week we went to the children's museum. I wish it was closer because its such a great place for him to explore. He runs wild in there. It's just not so easy trying to keep him awake on the way home. In a toddlers mind, I think a 10 minute car snooze is equivalent to a 2 hr nap in bed. So as long as we can get home without any dozing off in the back seat, we are golden. I usually keep him going with snacks just long enough to make it to Wendy's for his guilty pleasure: a $.99 hamburger with cheese an ketchup. I won't lie, I usually have a bite (or two).
